How to get Vietnam visa from Philippines?

Traveling to Vietnam from the Philippines requires a valid visa. A visa is an official document that allows you to enter, stay, or leave a country for a specific period of time. In this case, a Vietnam visa is required for Philippine citizens who wish to visit Vietnam for tourism, business, or other purposes.

There are two ways to obtain a Vietnam visa from the Philippines: through the Vietnamese embassy/consulate or through an online visa application.

  1. Apply for a Vietnam eVisa online.

This is the most convenient and popular option, as it can be done entirely online and without having to visit the Vietnamese embassy or consulate. To apply for a Vietnam eVisa, you will need to:

  • Visit the official Vietnam eVisa website.
  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Upload a scan of your passport and a recent passport photo.
  • Pay the visa fee.

Once your application is approved, you will receive an eVisa approval letter via email. You can then print out the letter and present it to the immigration officer upon arrival in Vietnam to obtain your visa stamp.

Visa requirements:

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Vietnam.
  • Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
  • You must have a valid email address.
  • You must have a valid credit or debit card to pay the visa fee.

Processing time:

The processing time for a Vietnam eVisa is usually 2-3 business days. However, it is important to apply well in advance of your trip, especially if you are traveling during peak season.

Cost:

The cost of a Vietnam eVisa varies depending on the type of visa you apply for and the processing time you choose. For example, a single-entry tourist visa with a standard processing time costs US$25.

2. Apply for a Vietnam visa at the Vietnamese embassy or consulate in the Philippines.

To apply for a Vietnam visa at the Vietnamese embassy or consulate, you will need to:

  • Visit the Vietnamese embassy or consulate in person.
  • Fill out a visa application form.
  • Submit your passport, two passport photos, and other required documents.
  • Pay the visa fee.

The processing time for a Vietnam visa at the embassy or consulate is usually 3-5 business days. However, it is important to note that the processing time may vary depending on the workload of the embassy or consulate.

Which option is best for you?

The best option for you will depend on your individual circumstances. If you are looking for the most convenient and hassle-free option, then applying for a Vietnam eVisa online is the best choice. However, if you need to travel to Vietnam urgently or if you need a visa for a longer stay, then applying for a Vietnam visa at the Vietnamese embassy or consulate may be a better option.

Please note:

  • It is important to check the latest Vietnam visa requirements before applying, as they may change from time to time.
  • You should also be aware that there are a number of third-party websites that offer to help you apply for a Vietnam visa. However, it is important to note that these websites are not affiliated with the Vietnamese government and may charge additional fees.
  • If you are unsure about which option is best for you or if you have any questions about the Vietnam visa process, you should contact the Vietnamese embassy or consulate in the Philippines directly.

  11. Warm greetings.

We are 4 adults going to Vietnam (Saigon and Hanoi) on Feb. 27 to March 4. I am a Filipino with FIlipino passport so I do not need a visa. The 3 others who will join me are Filipino-Americans with US Passports so I think they need a visa. I want to assist them in applying for their Visa. So can I go to the embassy, get the forms and let them fill up the forms? Or please send link to the application form that I can download. Then, I think I should go back to the embassy to submit the requirements together with the passports. Is this correct? Then, how much please for the three visas? Thanks so much.
